The Brewers go on the road for three games before returning home to play the Cubs in a four-game series beginning Thursday.
Here’s the pitching matchup for tonight’s contest at PNC Park.

Jameson Taillon last started against the Cubs September 7 in Pittsburgh and it did not go well for him: 11 hits and six runs in 4⅔ innings. He did better in his only start vs. the Brewers this year, July 20 at PNC Park: 5⅓ innings, two runs, eight strikeouts.
Brent Suter has gone back and forth between bullpen and starting rotation for the Brewers this year (eight starts, 11 relief appearances). He also spent much of August on the DL with a rotator cuff strain. Since that injury he hasn’t thrown more than 50 pitches in a game (though he did throw 56 in one rehab outing at the end of August), so this is likely to be a bullpen game for the Brewers.

MLB.com Gameday (classic mode) (Note: Going forward, I am going to link to the “classic” Gameday here because MLB.com broke the links I used to use to get to their “new” Gameday. If you click on this link, you can then click on “New Gameday” at the bottom of the page to get to the updated version. Note that the “classic” Gameday won’t load until just before game time.)
