The Wrigley Field concert schedule had two more dates added Monday afternoon with this announcement:
Luke Bryan announced his new 2018 tour, “What Makes You Country Tour XL” with two concerts Labor Day weekend, Saturday, September 1st and Sunday, September 2nd at Wrigley Field in Chicago.
Special guests Sam Hunt and Jon Pardi will join Luke for both concerts.
This will be the second time Luke Bryan has played Wrigley; he also did so in August 2016.
Here’s a page on the Cubs website announcing the dates; no ticket information is yet on that page but I assume it will be soon, and I also assume that as usual, season-ticket holders and Wrigley neighbors will get access to presales.
Here’s the updated current list of 2018 Wrigley Field concerts, a total of nine dates so far (including the Jimmy Buffett show noted below):
July 13: Jimmy Buffett (Cubs in San Diego, next home game July 19)
July 14: Def Leppard/Journey (Cubs in San Diego, next home game July 19)
July 29-30: Foo Fighters (Cubs in St. Louis, next home game August 2)
August 18, 20: Pearl Jam (Cubs in Pittsburgh, next home game August 23)
September 1-2: Luke Bryan (Cubs in Philadelphia, next home game September 10)
September 7: Billy Joel (Cubs in Washington, next home game September 10)
September 8: Fall Out Boy (Cubs in Washington, next home game September 10)
UPDATE: Another concert was announced Monday, Jimmy Buffett will also be playing Wrigley Field on Friday, July 13. That makes 10 shows, which matches last year.
