Tonight’s Game 7 of the NLCS will be the first seventh NLCS game since 2012, when the Giants and Cardinals met in San Francisco to decide that series, and just the second NLCS Game 7 since 2006.

There are similarities. The Cardinals had taken a three games to two lead to San Francisco, then lost Game 6 by five runs, 6-1. The Giants blew out St. Louis 9-0 in Game 7 to go to the World Series.

Different teams, different year. We’ll see what happens tonight. Whoever wins will head to Boston for Game 1 of the World Series Tuesday night, and this year’s N.L. champion will be a decided underdog against the Red Sox.

Here are tonight’s lineups.
