FanPost Friday: What are you thankful for this season?

Let’s give thanks for the Cubs

Thanksgiving is looming just around the corner (or, if you’re Canadian like me, it’s in the rearview, but I digress). It’s a season for family to come together, for turkey to be consumed in mass quantities, and it’s a time we’re meant to reflect on our blessings.

I think that can apply to baseball.

We get caught up in the whirlwind of the season as it’s happening, desperate for another trip to the postseason, and as soon as it’s all over, we turn our attention to hockey or football, something to distract us until spring training.

This year, let’s give thanks for the year that was.

Are you thankful for the near MVP performance of Javier Baez? Are you thankful to have Joe Maddon in the dugout? Maybe you’re just thankful to the Cubs for providing 162 games of entertainment, and a sanctuary at the ballpark for a few hours every night.

Whatever the Cubs have given you this year that has made you feel excited or grateful, we want to know.

Head over to the FanPost section and select “New FanPost” on the left, then share your thanks for the Cubs.
