It’s December 12 and the Cubs home opener April 8 against the Pirates is still 117 days away.

But starting Friday, you can line up some Cubs games to attend in 2019 through Cubs ticket packs, either eight or 14 games worth.

Here’s what the Cubs have available.

Cubs eight-game packs provide a choice of five pre-selected, eight-game packs. Options include the “Friday Pack,” featuring eight Friday games; the “Sunday Pack,” featuring eight Sunday games; the “Rival Pack,” featuring matchups with the Chicago White Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Dodgers and other NL Central Division rivals; the “Summer Pack,” featuring games during the summer months of June, July, August and September; and the “Holiday Pack,” which is available only through January 1.

You have to order the same number of tickets for each of the eight games in your package. Prices start at $209 in the Upper Reserved Outfield before service fees and City and County amusement taxes, with other prices varying based on pack and location.

The 14-game flex pack allows you to select from games including Opening Day, matchups against division rivals and rare visits from Interleague teams. Prices start at $320 in the Upper Reserved Outfield before service fees and City and County amusement taxes, with other prices varying based on games and location. All 81 home games are available through the Cubs 14-game pack.

Having looked through these choices, the eight-game packs seem a pretty good value, and you can get one (the “Friday Pack”) that includes two games against the Cardinals. While you can put together your own pack in the 14-game selection, you will have to choose five April/May/September games, and only two of the 24 games listed in the “choose five from this list” group are on a weekend (both Sundays).

The Cubs say that all tickets purchased this way will be mobile-only through the MLB Ballpark app. Single-game tickets will go on sale Friday, February 22.

Here are the choices for the eight-game pack and here’s what you can choose from in the 14-game pack. Tickets go on sale Friday, December 14 at 10 a.m. CT online at this cubs.com link, by calling 1-800-THE-CUBS, or by emailing cubsflexsales@cubs.com. Season-ticket holders have access to a presale that allows purchase of one eight-game and/or one 14-game pack from 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. CT tomorrow, Thursday, December 13.
