Merry Christmas!
I hope you got what you were hoping for this holiday season. So far, all that’s been left under the Cubs’ tree is Daniel Descalso, and a couple of other minor acquisitions. Many of you had hoped for more, but the truth is that the Cubs’ holiday presents might be good health and better production from guys who had down or injury-filled seasons in 2018. That might be the best gift of all.
A few words about the man in the photo above. I’ve gotten to know him a bit over the last year. He is a fellow bleacher season-ticket holder and comes to games wearing his Cubs/Santa uniform, handing out candy canes to kids. He always asks parents whether that’s okay to do first. During the holiday season he works as Santa in the south suburbs. You might have seen him in the bleacher season ticket holder line over the last couple of years.
In the spirit of the holiday season, I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas. Enjoy this holiday with family and friends, wherever you are.
