And the ballpark is rounding into shape. BCB’s David Sameshima took these photos Saturday afternoon, March 24.
Inside the park, turf was being installed Sunday:

Outside, most of the activity was around the Hotel Zachary, which was originally scheduled to open today. According to the hotel’s Facebook page, they’ve gone into “extra innings” and the official opening has been pushed back to March 30.
Meanwhile, across the street at the ballpark, there was much activity around the marquee and ticket windows, which will be open as of Opening Day. Until then if you want to buy tickets, go to the ticket windows at the bleacher entrance on Waveland Avenue. Those windows are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays prior to the Cubs home opener.
Baseball! It’ll be here Thursday, when the Cubs open the 2018 season in Miami, and then 11 days later at Wrigley Field. Can’t wait!
