FanPost Friday: 5 bold predictions for the 2018 Cubs

20-win pitcher? Most All-Stars ever? Bring us your best guesses.

MLB: Chicago Cubs at Miami Marlins Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

The Cubs are off to a tremendous start with a 1.000 win percentage, that all started with a bang as Ian Happ hit a leadoff home run with the very first pitch of the MLB regular season. Who would have predicted Happ would get the year’s first home run?

With that in mind, this Friday we want you to bring us your five boldest predictions in the FanPosts.

You can get crazy with them if you want. Yu Darvish to win 22 games, perhaps? Javier Baez to play right field? Sure, why not, this is your list! Position players pitching through seven innings of a 20-inning marathon. Yup, that’s a bold pick.

The only rule here is that your picks need to be legitimately possible in baseball. Meaning you can’t list a 40-win season for a pitcher. You can predict things like Kyle Schwarber winning a Gold Glove, though.

Head over to the FanPosts section and select “New FanPost” on the left to get started, and give us your biggest, boldest, most over-the-top predictions for the Cubs 2018 season.
