Everyone loves a winner.
It’s an exciting time to be a fan when you see your team doing well, but maybe not as well as you’d hoped. The Cubs have struggled this season, fighting alongside a strong contingent of teams in the NL Central. While many had suspected they’d run away with the division again, the Cubs have had to contend with the Brewers and Cardinals breathing down their necks, and as of this writing they’re only one game back in the Central.
One game.
A game that a player with a 1.3 WAR (and a history of much better) might help them make up, perhaps? (yeah, I’m looking at you Manny Machado). There are a lot of options out there on teams whose dream of the 2018 postseason might be over, but could use some help in the future.
The Cubs farm system is depleted, though. Do they trade any of the better known guys on the team? Do they start rebuilding their own system now when they can plan ahead? That’s all up to you to decide.
Head over to the FanPosts section, select “New FanPost” and tell us what ou would do if you were in the Cubs front office. No deal is too crazy. Nothing is off limits. The sky is the limit, so go for it.
