When the Cubs returned from their road trip to St. Louis, Brandon Morrow hurt his back taking his pants off.
I wish I were making that up, but it’s true. The resulting back issues sent Morrow to the disabled list. At least he had a good sense of humor about it:
Lots of great advice on here, can’t wait for these to arrive. Versatile/low-profile pockets, reinforced-knee stitching…metal zipper! Thanks Twitter! pic.twitter.com/prqsrqxX63

And now, Morrow is back on the active roster:
#Cubs activate Morrow from DL. Mazzoni optioned to Iowa

This will take a lot of pressure off the bullpen. Sure, Steve Cishek has closed before, but he can better serve this team as a setup man. When Carl Edwards Jr. returns, hopefully sometime next week, that will again give the Cubs the strong bullpen they had for this season’s first two months.
Cory Mazzoni was in his third stint with the Cubs on the Iowa Shuttle. He threw pretty well in seven appearances: 1.17 ERA, 1.304 WHIP, but did not appear in a game since being recalled Sunday. He’ll almost certainly be back later in the season.
