The Tennessee Smokies dropped a doubleheader to the Mobile BayBears (Angels), losing the continuation of a game from April 15 10-7 and losing the regularly-scheduled match 2-1.

Michael Rucker started game one in April in Tennessee. Rucker took the loss after he allowed four runs on four hits over three innings. One of the four runs was unearned. Rucker walked one and struck out one.

Center fielder Trey Martin was 2 for 3 with two doubles and a walk. Martin scored three times and knocked home one run.

Catcher Ian Rice was 2 for 5 with a double and a run scored. Outfielder Charcer Burks was 2 for 4 with a sac fly and two RBI.

Game two was started by Trevor Clifton, who pitched well again but got the loss anyway. Clifton allowed two runs, both unearned, on two hits over five innings. Clifton walked three and struck out four.

After the game, Clifton was promoted to Triple-A Iowa, at least according to his mother.
