The Cubs have started to make their trade deadline moves by getting starting pitcher Cole Hamels from the Texas Rangers on Thursday evening. With the deadline hot stove heating up, we’re sure to see more big names moved between teams in the coming days, though whether or not the Cubs are on the hunt for any more help remains to be seen.
Some trades are expected (everyone saw the Alex Avila and Justin Wilson move coming last year) while others are less clear. But trade time can certainly lend itself well to edge-of-your-seat dramatics and a whirlwind of rumors.
It’s also the theme of this week’s FanPost prompt.
With the deadline looming, we want you to put on your imaginary GM caps once again and determine what the one major trade you would make this deadline would be. Pick the player (or players), pick the team, and make sure to determine a return as well. Tell us what you’d do if you could make any trade possible.
Head over to the FanPost section, select “New FanPost” on the left, and get those players moving!
