The Cubs got a little break in their hideous September schedule as Friday’s home game with the Reds has been moved to 7:05 pm. The game, like all Friday regular-season home games, had been scheduled for a 1:20 start.
As you no doubt know by now, the Cubs are still expected to fly into Washington to make up Sunday’s game with the Nationals on Thursday and then fly back to Chicago to take on the Reds. You probably also know that the Cubs need special permission from the city of Chicago to play a night game on a Friday. That permission was granted late today. At least the Cubs will not have play a day game after a night road game in the Eastern Time Zone.
If you have a ticket for Friday’s game, it will be honored for the night game. You don’t have to do anything different other than show up six hours later. The gates will open approximately two hours before game time.
