Both of these series could end today. I kind of hope they don’t, because that would mean less baseball over the next few days.
The Nats’ careful plan to avoid most of their relievers by using Patrick Corbin to back up Anibal Sanchez backfired Sunday when Corbin was pounded in the sixth inning. The Nats do have Max Scherzer going tonight, so that gives them a reasonable chance of getting to Game 5 in Los Angeles, where they’d have Stephen Strasburg starting.
The Yankees and Twins... man, the Twins just cannot get past the Yankees at all, can they? Here’s hoping a home game in Minneapolis extends that series for at least one more day.
