It’s a bobblehead holding a bobblehead.

  • On May 11, 2018, the Cubs held Willson Contreras Bobblehead Day. The first 10,000 fans at Wrigley Field received a limited edition bobblehead featuring the Cubs’ catcher.

Willson had the game of his life on his bobblehead day, going 4-for-5 with two home runs and seven runs batted in as the Cubs crushed their crosstown rival Chicago White Sox 11-2. Those were personal career highs in home runs and RBI for a game by Willson.

The Bobblehead Museum has released a commemorative bobblehead honoring this event. As you can see above, it’s a bobblehead of Willson... holding a tiny bobblehead that resembles the May 11, 2018 giveaway. Both heads bobble, as you can see here:

The limited edition bobbleheads, which are individually numbered to only 1,000, just arrived and ship now. The bobbleheads are $40 each with a flat rate shipping charge of $8 per order and were produced exclusively for the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum by FOCO.

“When we saw Willson’s incredible performance on his bobblehead day at Wrigley Field, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity for a fun, unique bobblehead,” said Phil Sklar, Co-Founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. “We think it turned out great, and we’re confident Willson and Cubs fans everywhere will agree.”

These are pretty cool and if you’re a fan of Willson (and who here isn’t), you should order one! Full disclosure: The Bobblehead Museum sent me one of these bobbleheads.

The Bobblehead Museum is now open for business in Milwaukee; here’s a recent Tribune article detailing what you can see there.
