After the Cubs and Angels were snowed out Sunday, speculation on a makeup date centered on Monday, August 26, a date that would have been reasonable for both teams.
Monday, the Cubs announced a different date for the makeup game:
The postponed April 14 #Cubs-Angels game is now scheduled to be played at Wrigley Field on Monday, June 3, at 3:05 p.m. CDT. pic.twitter.com/Pg23hy6eaX

On June 3, the Cubs will be returning from a trip to Houston and St. Louis that includes an off day May 30, before beginning a six-game homestand against the Rockies and Cardinals. The Angels... well, this will be somewhat less convenient for them. They will be coming off a seven-game trip to Oakland and Seattle, and then return home to Anaheim to begin an eight-game homestand. That means flights from Seattle to Chicago to Los Angeles for the Angels in a two-day period, obviously not ideal. The 3:05 p.m. CT starting time will help them, sort of.
So it’s done, and the Cubs retain their August 26 off day. Hopefully, that will not be needed for other makeup games this year.
The Cubs say that all tickets for the April 14 date (mobile or printed) will be honored on June 3, and the replica Wrigley Field statue that was to have been given out as a promotional item on Sunday will be given out on the makeup date. Tickets for the makeup date are on sale at this link.
Presumably, it will be warmer by June 3.
