For the last few years, there has been a bar/gathering place on the Addison Street side of Wrigley Field. Originally called “Captain Morgan Club,” it was re-branded “Draft Kings SportsZone” for the last couple of seasons.
This temporary edifice was torn down last winter as part of the ongoing 1060 Project. Originally, there were plans to build a two-story “annex” to the ballpark in that area near the corner of Addison & Sheffield, but those plans are on hold for the time being as the Cubs assess the project, what they’ve built, and whether anything further is needed in that part of the property.
In the meantime, this week the Cubs have opened an outdoor patio in that area, another place where people can socialize before or during games. BCB’s David Sameshima was in the area Thursday and took the photos you see above.
Granted that this area isn’t this:

But, it is at least something, and I thought you’d like to see what it looks like. Saturday morning, there was a tent added to this patio area, photos of that added.
