Xavier Cedeno hasn't pitched too well for the Cubs and now we know why. Per a press release from the team, Cedeno is going on the 10-day injured list with left wrist inflammation, an aggravation of the injury that made him start the year on the IL.

Rowan Wick has one save and a 2.84 ERA in 13 relief outings with Iowa this year. He has struck out 25 batters and walked only five in 19 innings while limiting opponents to a .219 batting average against and posting a 1.11 WHIP. Wick joins the Cubs having tossed 6⅔ scoreless innings covering his last three relief outings. He was acquired from the Padres in a trade last November that sent Jason Vosler to San Diego. Wick had a 6.48 ERA in 10 appearances for the Padres in 2018.

Wick will wear uniform number 50 and be available tonight vs. the Phillies.
