Trying something a bit different this Friday, as there was a lot of news early, then an afternoon game. Don’t want to think about the loss Friday? Write a FanPost on this topic!
Baseball has a lot of rules, both written and unwritten, and some of them make a lot of sense, while others are befuddling. They’re also constantly changing and adding new ones, to a point where it’s sometimes hard to keep up.
Every time a rule is changed, like the intentional walk rule for example, there’s a lot of uproar about it, but ultimately they very rarely change anything major about the game. However something like the proposed idea of a universal DH would shake things up quite a bit. (I can literally hear NL fans everywhere shouting at me about this)
This week’s FanPost prompt is all about making better baseball rules. We want to know how you would change baseball for the better. Is it a brand new rule, or a tweak to an existing one? Is it about pace of play? Player safety? Your own amusement?
Head over to the FanPost section, select “New FanPost” on the left, and tell us how you would change baseball if you could.
Shoutout to lshaffer for answering last week’s prompt about visiting other stadiums with their post “Busch Stadium.”
I also wanted to give a special nod to Vermont Cubs Fan for their VERY thorough but slightly older post about PNC Park (undoubtedly one of the best views in baseball), that deserves to be brought up again: “PNC Park: A Pictorial Tour.”
