FanPost Friday: Baseball memories with mom

Let’s get mushy about our mothers.

Mother’s Day is a little more than a week away — consider this your advance warning — and it seems like a good time to bring up one of my favorite annual FanPost prompts: your baseball memories with mom.

In previous years I’ve just asked folks to write a post about their best memories involving their mothers and baseball: be it mom teaching you how to play catch (“Don’t swat the ball down, Ashley, pull it in!”) or mom taking you to your very first baseball game. I’m still going to ask you to do that, but this time around I have a goal: I’d like to combine them into a post for Mother’s Day so we can all really appreciate what our moms do on a regular basis to help us love this game.

So head over to the FanPost section, select “New FanPost” on the left, and give us your most memorable baseball moments you shared with your mother. I’ll be here with my Kleenex, ready to get misty.
