I’m not going to lie, I was super reticent to write this post. I feel like I’m about to give away two of the best-kept secrets at Wrigley Field, and likely hurt my own chances of getting a seat at the Lucky Dorr on Friday.

In the end my sense of duty to keep you all informed of cool things at Wrigley Field was more important.

One of my favorite events at Gallagher Way is returns tonight: Friday Night Flights. Here are the details:

Chicago Friday Night Flights starts its third season at Gallagher Way! The evening will feature local food and 30 breweries from neighborhoods across the city. Friday Night Flights’ resident DJ will spins records throughout the night and the Cubs-Cardinals game will be shown on the Gallagher Way video board. Each tasting pass is good for ten (10) 3 ounce samples from any of the 32 craft breweries. ID is required to purchase a tasting pass (ticket) and receive a tasting cup, and all consumers must be 21 years of age or older to participate, in accordance with State Law.

The official after party is at Lucky Dorr Patio & Tap, located at the northeast corner of Gallagher Way for craft beer enthusiasts that simply can’t get enough! Purchase a sampling pass here.

It’s a great deal. The beer last year was incredible and I honestly couldn’t even use all of my pass last year before I was tapped out. The food options at these events at Wrigley Field have consistently been high quality. Plus, you don’t even have to worry about missing the game since they’ll be showing it on the big screen.

Whether you make it to the after party or not, you should absolutely stop by Lucky Dorr Patio and Tap when you’re in the area. And here’s where I feel like I’m giving some of my secrets away. Lucky Dorr is tucked inside Caretaker’s Way and while it’s often busy it isn’t nearly as overrun as some of the substantially better known establishments on the main streets. Their beer list is outstanding and the people working the tap really know their beer. They’ve never steered me wrong, and they’ve often times introduced me to something I didn’t even know I loved yet, like this Woody Barrelson Barleywine they suggested the last time I visited:

Their full beer list has something for everyone, and it’s a dog-friendly environment, as you can see from their Instagram. So you can bring your four-legged friends to keep you company while you enjoy a cold beer and the game on the patio. Here’s their full menu:
