The Cubs have moved up the start time of tonight’s game

The weather forecast for this evening gets worse as the night wears on, so the Cubs are being proactive and moving the start time of tonight’s game up, in an effort to get the entire game in before the bad weather hits. The game will begin at 6:35 p.m. CT, according to a press release from the team.

This is the second time the Cubs have moved up a starting time during this unusually wet spring. They also did it April 11, starting the game against the Pirates at 6:35 p.m. CT. That helped, although that game was delayed by rain for about an hour in the eighth inning. As noted above, Wrigley Field’s gates will still open at their normal time for a night game, 5 p.m.

The BCB game preview will also still post at its usual time for a night game, 5 p.m. CT. Game threads will have times adjusted for the earlier start, starting with the first pitch thread at 6:30 p.m. CT.
