Eugene Emeralds

The Eugene Emeralds frosted the Vancouver Canadians (Blue Jays), 3-1.

Eduarniel Nunez started and got the win after allowing just one run on four hits over five innings. He struck out four and walked no one.

Enrique De Los Rios pitched the final two innings without allowing a run for the save. He gave up one hit and he walked one while striking out two.

Third baseman Yonathan Perlaza was 3 for 4 with a stolen base. He scored twice.

Catcher Caleb Knight went 2 for 4 with a double.

Seventeen-year-old second baseman Reivaj Garcia was off to a rough start in the Northwest League, going hitless in his first four games. But tonight he got on the right track by going 2 for 4 with a steal. His first hit was an RBI single in the second inning and he scored a run on an error in the fifth.

AZL Cubs

Cubs 1 lost to the Diamondbacks, 7-3.

Brendon Little made his season debut in this game, throwing 2.2 scoreless innings.

Cubs 2 beat the Angels, 14-5.
