FanPost Friday: Trade deadline moves you’d make

The trade deadline is looming large, and now there’s an extra hitch. In previous years there was the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline, and the August 31 waiver trade deadline. But as of 2019, that August 31 deadline no longer exists. Which means any team who wants to make trades and bolster their rosters for the postseason needs to make those moves now.

If you’ve been reading any major baseball publication the last few weeks, this is the biggest topic of discussion: who will the contending teams try to lock down, and who are they willing to give up to get them?

With that in mind, we want your wildest, boldest speculations of the moves the Cubs could make ahead of the July 31 trade deadline. Who do you think they’ll go after? Which prospect do you think they’ll give up?
