What a ride it has been for the Cubs this season. They’ve found themselves at both the bottom and top of the standings, they’ve pulled off miraculous wins and suffered crushing losses. They’re on track to have about 88 wins — neck and neck with the current division-leading Cardinals — and even if they don’t win the division, they’re in line for a Wild Card spot, so there’s a very solid chance we’ll be celebrating postseason baseball at Wrigley.
With the expansion of rosters on Sunday, the Cubs have an opportunity to bolster their reserves, giving some new faces (and some familiar ones) a chance to play in the final month of the regular season. Those additional bodies may make the difference in some of the most important games of the season, so expect the Cubs to take full advantage of fleshing out their utility reserves.
So with this week’s FanPost Friday, we want to ask you: which players do you want to see the Cubs add with their additional roster spots? For the 2019 season the expanded roster still goes from 25 to 40 (this will change in 2020), so there’s a lot of room to play around.
Head over to the FanPost section, select “New FanPost” on the left, and tell us which additional players you want to see called up, and why.
