2020 American League Championship Series: Astros vs. Rays Game 1, Sunday 10/11, 6:37 CT

Pretty sure I know who most of you are rooting for.

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

I’m pretty sure that almost everyone here will be rooting for the Rays to win this series.

And for whatever it’s worth, I think they will do so.

The Rays were outscored by the Yankees in their Division series 24-21 but scored when they needed to, and got relief pitching when they needed it, and beat New York at their own game, hitting two solo homers in the decisive Game 5.

They have postseason-experienced pitchers in Blake Snell (who starts tonight) and Charlie Morton, and despite the Astros making the ALCS for the fourth straight year and also having playoff veterans such as Carlos Correa, Alex Bregman and George Springer, the Rays will get a bit of revenge for Houston’s Division Series win over them in 2019.

And for whatever it’s worth, the Rays didn’t have to change bubble locations, as they played their Division Series in San Diego, while the Astros were in Los Angeles and had to head down the road a couple of hours for this set.

Rays in 6 games.

Here’s all the information you’ll need for tonight’s game.
