Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged in Cubs fans, and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts.

The Tampa Bay Rays might not have the biggest national following, but right now they are the most popular team in baseball. According to the most recent SB Nation Reacts survey, a clear majority of baseball fans want the Rays to win the World Series.

Of course, just because that’s who fans want to win, doesn’t mean those same fans think the Rays will actually pull it off. When asked who they think will win, results were much more split.

A plurality of fans, 31 percent, stay the the Rays will win the World Series in six games. That was the most popular answer, and coming in second was the Dodgers winning in six, followed by the Rays in seven.

Fans were also asked a number of other questions about the World Series. The most popular selection for World Series MVP was Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts, followed by Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena.

Arozarena also was most selected as the player who would lead the series in home runs, getting 35 percent of the vote. He was followed by Cody Bellinger and Corey Seager.

The Dodgers have spent the last week playing in Globe Life Field, so they’re familiar with it while the Rays aren’t. Fans in the survey were split as to whether that gives LA an advantage:

The real battle in the minds of fans will be between the Rays pitchers and the Dodgers hitters. Fans think the Dodgers will hit more home runs as a team, but the Rays bullpen will have a better ERA than the Dodgers starting rotation.

We’ll have a game thread here for World Series Game 1 coming up at 6:30 p.m. CT.
