One game for the right to move on to the ALCS.

Thursday was the last day of 2020 where we’ll have more than two baseball games to watch. Insert sad face here.

Today, though, we have a winner-take-all game for the right to advance to the ALCS. The Rays were the better team in the regular season, but the Yankees... well, you know.

Gerrit Cole, who is starting tonight for New York, has never pitched on short rest — ever, not in the minors, not in the regular season, not ever. So we’ll see if the Yankees got their $324 million worth.

The Rays are the “home” team tonight and will bat last. Whether that matters or not remains to be seen.

Here’s all the info you will need for tonight’s game.

Yankees vs. Rays at Petco Park, 6:10 p.m. CT
