Bill Veeck is credited with saying “there are only two seasons — winter and baseball.” Well, every year there are surefire ways of knowing that it’s baseball season. And no, I’m not talking about Al’s annual Spring Training Guide, truck day or the fact that Willson Contreras has arrived in Arizona.
No, today I’m talking about the yearly right of passage where the Milwaukee Brewers try desperately to keep Cubs fans from taking over Miller Park Wrigley North. You may remember this day from previous Wisconsin resident only ticket sales like this one in 2018:

The Brewers are not to be deterred by $8 tickets on Stubhub, however. So in 2019 they were at it again. They didn’t even really update the logo beyond like a gold line and some splatter effect:
Any claims that this presale is an attempt to prevent Cubs fans from getting Brewers tickets are… well, pretty accurate, actually.
— Milwaukee Brewers (@Brewers) February 13, 2019
The presale begins tomorrow at 9am CT. Details: https://t.co/qJjhicT3OY pic.twitter.com/OpdmrnOcZL
That one didn’t really work either, but you know, they say that the third time is a charm, which brings us to 2020 and the new and improved logo Wisconsin Resident only ticket sale:
Defend. Your. Turf.
— Milwaukee Brewers (@Brewers) February 10, 2020
The Wisconsin resident only presale starts tomorrow at 9 a.m. CT.
Fans may purchase up to 4 tickets for opening day and up to 8 tickets to any of the other regular-season home games against the Cubs this season.

Mark your calendars now, Chicago. I predict some pretty great deals on Stubhub for Cubs games at whatever they are calling Wrigley North in 2020.
