Years ago, the first day of single game Cubs ticket sales was an event.
In 2004, the year after an unexpected division title, expectations were high and lines at Wrigley, online and by phone were unbelievable. I recall trying to call all day, not getting through till 5 p.m. By the second day, the bleachers had been sold out for 66 of the 81 games.
Times have changed and so have ticket prices. Demand is likely to be down after a down year in 2019.
This post is for you to share your ticket buying stories from today. I'm not anticipating anyone will have any trouble getting in online or by phone. Wrigley box office sales don't start till Monday.
To buy tickets, go to cubs.com or call 1-800-THE-CUBS (800-843-2827).
