The Cubs head to the west valley for Sunday’s game, and a big crowd is expected:
Sunday's @Dodgers home opener against the Cubs is SOLD OUT, including all lawn seats. We strongly encourage fans with tickets to arrive early and carpool or rideshare due to wet parking conditions: https://t.co/6pA4Ygokau pic.twitter.com/oohA1EZ8nq

I’m not going to this game but if you are — take their advice. Traffic and parking at Camelback Ranch is bad even when the lots aren’t wet. After 10 years, they have finally finished the long-awaited north entrance and exit to the parking lots there. That should alleviate some of the issues.
Of general baseball interest this afternoon, Mookie Betts is making his Dodger debut. That, along with the Cubs being the visitors, is likely the reason for the early-spring sellout.
Here are today’s particulars.
Cubs lineup:
Happ CF, Schwarber LF, Caratini C, Perez 3B, Phegley DH, Descalso 2B, Hoerner SS, Cuevas RF, Joseph 1B
David Ross, still under the weather:
Cubs pitching coach Tommy Hottovy will manage the team today as David Ross misses his second straight game with the flu, https://t.co/U7ngVGSTDx

Tyler Chatwood will start for the Cubs. Also scheduled for the Cubs today: Colin Rea, Trevor Megill, Ben Taylor, Oscar De La Cruz and Wyatt Short.
Alex Wood will go for the Dodgers. At posting time there was no information on Dodgers relievers scheduled for today.

Today’s game is on the Marquee Network. Here is a complete channel guide for all the providers currently signed up with Marquee. Note that it is possible some of these channels might not be up and running right away. This is new to all of us and I would anticipate glitches. Hopefully it all gets squared away by Opening Day, including a Marquee deal with Comcast.
You can listen to audio of today’s game via the Dodgers radio station AM 570 LA Sports. Click on the Mediacenter link below for a link to the audiocast.
Please note that during spring training, Gameday doesn’t usually go pitch-by-pitch as it does during the regular season — usually, it will update after each at-bat.
Here is the complete MLB.com Mediacenter for today.
Please visit our SB Nation Dodgers site True Blue LA. If you do go there to interact with Dodgers fans, please be respectful, abide by their individual site rules and serve as a good representation of Cub fans in general and BCB in particular.
For spring-training games, we’ll have a first-pitch thread at five minutes to game time and one overflow thread, 90 minutes after game time (because I know how you all like overflow threads!). For today, that will be 2 p.m. CT and 3:30 p.m. CT.
These threads will not post individually onto the front page; instead, you can find links to them in the box marked ”Chicago Cubs Game Threads” at the bottom of the front page. There will also be a StoryStream on the front page with all the game thread links, as well as the recap after the game is over. The pitcher boxes and regular-season stats will return on Opening Day.
Discuss amongst yourselves.
