Introducing BCB’s simulation of the 2020 Cubs season

El Mago

Hey people of BCB! We have exciting news for you all. There will be baseball to view and gamethreads and everything, live on these very airwaves.

Courtesy of my trusty PS4 and YouTube, that is. The CTsims channel will be bringing live baseball to you on two nights this week, using MLB The Show 2019 as a platform until Gamestop can be persuaded to relinquish my reserve copy of MLB The Show 2020, which, as you know, stars the one and only Javier Baez.

We’ll have a few spring training games, probably beginning this Thursday, and we will have every regular-season game possible, live, at a time to be determined by need and probably polling. Feel free to bring your Cubs liquor, herbal essences, and gameday snacks. We’ll give you as much advance notice as possible about which dates we’ll be doing these game, using matchups that were on the original spring training schedule.

Once the season starts we’ll do our best to match the schedule as posted.

This could possibly help us all get over these Cubless days. Al will be doing recaps and I’ll write up some game-day interviews. We’ll conspire to make appropriate lineups and rosters. It’ll be a blast!

What would be the best time of day to run the simulations?
