Kris Bryant and his wife Jessica have had a son

One of the stories we followed through spring training was the pregnancy of Jessica Bryant, wife of Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant.

KB stayed in Las Vegas after the Cubs played there last month in order to accompany Jessica to some doctors’ appointments.

Now, I can report to you the happy news. Kris and Jessica’s son was born recently, and they shared a photo on Instagram:

As you can see, the healthy baby boy was born four days ago, and they shared this photo plus another one on Twitter:

Congratulations to the Bryants on their first child. Let’s see... somewhere around 2038 there should be a real good young baseball talent coming out of Las Vegas again.

I’m glad to be able to share a happy story with you in this difficult time for everyone on Earth. Here’s to many happy family moments for the Bryants as we all wait to see when baseball, as well as the rest of ordinary life, will resume.
