FanPost Friday: Degrees of separation from a player

We have all heard of the “six degrees of Kevin Bacon” a theory that suggests every actor in Hollywood is a mere six degrees of film connection from Kevin Bacon. This theory has become popular out in the real world as well, as people like you and me try to connect themselves to famous actors and athletes via personal connections.

“My grandfather’s podiatrist was Mickey Mantle’s nephew” or something along those lines, is not an out of the question brag when it comes to baseball fans wanting to feel a little more connected to their favorite players.

So in this week’s FanPost Friday challenge, we want to know just how connected you are to a famous player. “I know Mike Trout’s... personal trainer’s niece.” Just explain the connection and how you learned about it. Connected to multiple players? Share them all! Do you actually know a player directly? Heck yes, you know we want to hear about that!
