Cubs lefthander Brad Wieck had a tough outing in his first 2020 appearance Saturday. It was noted that his velocity was down, only about 91 miles per hour on his fastball compared to a 93.8 average last year (per Fangraphs).
Brad’s going to have a few days’ rest:

Officially, it’s for a hamstring strain, but you might also recall that Wieck missed some time during spring training due to a cardiac ablation procedure. Here’s hoping he’s all right and is back to action soon.
Ryan Tepera was signed by the Cubs as a free agent last December. He spent the last five seasons with the Blue Jays, and missed some time in 2019 with some elbow issues. Tepera made six spring-training appearances for the Cubs this year and in six innings allowed four hits and two runs, with two walks and seven strikeouts.
As shown on the photo above, Tepera will wear uniform number 52, which was last worn by Jen-Ho Tseng in 2018.
