Later Tuesday, it's expected the Cubs will add Jose Quintana and Tyler Chatwood to the 28-man active roster, with both returning from injury. Chatwood is likely to start on Tuesday, with Quintana working his way back in the bullpen. While these two moves are expected, the two counter-moves are currently a case of sheer guesswork. Who do you think will be supplanted before game time?
Duane Underwood Jr. is a possibility. However, he's out of options, and couldn't be directly returned to South Bend. He could be designated for assignment, retained, or have an injury list placement. He's had a mishmash of success and misfortune in his time with the parent club, and certainly could be on the transaction log.
Jason Adam seems to be a "short straw" candidate. He seems to mainly get action late in one-sided affairs, and has no serious "options remaining" concerns.
Colin Rea pitched the ninth inning of a blowout Monday, the night before two roster moves are due. Ryan Tepera looked quite good in a moderate leverage spot, likely delaying concerns about his roster status.

In addition to the 28-man roster, the 40-man roster is full. At any point, a transaction might be needed there, as well. Along with Underwood, Rex Brothers seems a potential roster casualty. Despite a useful spell at his peak in Colorado, he hasn't been particularly successful in about four years.
Hitters Hernan Perez and Josh Phegley are potential castaways, as well, though the Cubs use both other catchers on the roster a bit aggressively.

Which players do you see as most likely for departure? Do you think an injury placement of dubious plausibility might happen? Any trade, however minor, figures to cause noticeable ripples. If nothing else, it's somewhat 2020 to guess what evil will befall a player due to another pair's health. Fire away. Who's gone, in your opinion?
