FanPost Friday: Make the ultimate All-Star team

But you can’t use any Cubs.

Happy Friday, one and all, we’re at the end of another week, baseball is still happening, Cubs are way ahead in the NL Central — wheeeee — and given the depth of the postseason system this year it seems safe to say we’ll get to see more Cubs postseason ball in 2020 (knock on wood).

Since the start of the 2020 season didn’t hit until after the would-have-been All-Star break, we didn’t get a chance to see which Cubs players might have made it in, or witness the general giddy and joyful display that is the ASG.

With that in mind, we thought it might be a fun exercise to play with our dream MLB All-Star lineup, but with a bit of a twist. First: all the players you select MUST be retired. No active players allowed. Second: you cannot pick a player that was on your favorite team at any point.

Using the list below, copy it and head over to the FanPost section, then select “New FanPost” on the left, and use the template to tell us what your dream MLB All-Star team “Classic Edition” looks like.
