Game 4 of the division series between the Astros and White Sox was postponed Monday morning because of a forecast of rain most of the afternoon. That did, in fact, come to pass in Chicago, with the rain heavy at times. They definitely made the right call.
The forecast for today is much nicer, though it will be a bit windy.
Jose Urquidy had been scheduled to start Game 4 for Houston, but with the rain day, manager Dusty Baker opted to go back to his Game 1 starter, Lance McCullers Jr., who held the White Sox to four singles in 6⅔ innings last Thursday in Houston.
The unexpected day off will allow both teams to be more rested after a long slog of a Game 3 on Sunday.
Astros vs. White Sox, 1:07 p.m. CT. Astros lead series 2-1.
Lance McCullers Jr., RHP vs. Carlos Rodon, LHP
TV: FS1. Announcers: Adam Amin, A.J. Pierzynski, Adam Wainwright and Tom Verducci
