Joc Pederson went on the injured list April 22 with what was termed “left wrist tendinitis.”
The wrist issue might have been caused by this play April 16 [VIDEO].
Sitting behind Pederson, I could see him shaking his wrist as if something was wrong with it. Turns out that was the case. He went 2-for-9 with four strikeouts after that game before going on the IL.
To make room for Pederson on the 26-man active roster:
Joc Pederson has been activated from the 10-day IL.

RHP Keegan Thompson optioned to #Cubs alt site.
Keegan Thompson made his MLB debut Sunday and threw a scoreless inning. Pederson is in tonight’s lineup.
So this means, for now, the Cubs will be going with 13 pitchers (eight relievers) and a five-man bench. It also means, apparently, that Ian Happ is all right after Sunday’s scary collision. The Cubs could use that extra bench player, as we saw during Sunday’s game.
No word yet on whether tonight’s game will be postponed due to weather. Today’s game preview will post at 4:30 p.m. CT regardless, although neither the Cubs nor the Dodgers have released a lineup yet.
