Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged-in Chicago Cubs fans, and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts.

According to the latest SB Nation Reacts survey, 68 percent of Cubs fans are confident the team is headed in the right direction. That’s up from 58 percent last week and 36 percent the week before. (This survey, of course, was done before the current three-game losing streak in New York.)

The Cubs aren’t the only team in baseball making a noticeable splash. The NL West-leading San Francisco Giants were picked by 60 percent of fans in the most recent Reacts poll as the best surprise so far this season. The next closest team was the Boston Red Sox with 15 percent while the Cubs took 13 percent.

Despite the majority of baseball fans enjoying San Francisco’s early run, a large portion don’t believe it will last. With the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres on their heels, 26 percent of fans surveyed believe the Giants are the most likely current first-place team to miss the playoffs entirely (we kind of gave this away with the photo at the top of this post). The New York Mets were the next closest with 25 percent of the vote. The Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers, currently tied for first place in the NL Central, were the next two picks.

While the Giants and Red Sox have been a pleasant surprise, some teams expected to do well this year haven’t. According to the most recent Reacts survey, the Minnesota Twins are the most disappointing team, taking 33 percent of the vote. The Twins beat out the New York Yankees with 29 percent and the Atlanta Braves with 24 percent.
