Cubs' top run-scoring streaks at ballparks

The Cubs love to hit at Great American Ballpark. They have scored runs in 38 straight games there.

In those games, they have averaged more than 5 runs, while hitting 59 homers, at least 1 in all but 9 games.

Those 38 games are a long way, though, from the Cubs' active run-scoring streak at any park -- let alone their all-time record.

..........

YOU CAN BANK ON IT!

The Cubs have scored in all 53 games they have played at Citizen's Bank Park in Philadelphia, which opened in 2004. They have averaged 4.3 runs in those games and hit 66 homers.

That is the Cubs' ninth-longest run-scoring streak at any park in the Modern Era. But is not even half the longest in Cubs' history.

BOWLED OVER

Between June 14, 1926, and July 25, 1936, the Cubs scored in 115 consecutive games at Baker Bowl in Philadelphia.

They averaged 6.96 runs while doing so, posting 10 or more runs in 28 games, nearly 1 of every 4. They were held to 1 run just 8 times.

The 115 games are 25 percent more than the Cubs' next-longest scoring streak, 92 games, at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, in 1930-39.

The 92, in turn, are 35 percent more than the No. 3 streak: 68 games, at Riverfront Stadium/Cinergy Field in Cincinnati, from 1992-2002. That streak lasted through the Cubs' final game at the park.
