Earlier this month I noted in an article here that the upper-deck roof at Wrigley Field was going to be replaced over the winter.
Now, thanks to aerial photographer Curt Waltz, I’ve got some photos of the ballpark’s roof repair work to share with you, all taken yesterday, Monday, November 20.
Here’s how the ballpark looked Monday:
As you can see, much of the left-field side of the roof has been removed and underpinnings of the new roof have begun to be installed. You can also get a good look at Winterland, which begins today and runs through January 7.
Thanks to Curt Waltz for sending these along. Please check out his excellent aerial photographs at aerialscapes.com.
I’ll continue to post these updates from time to time over the offseason. Work is expected to be completed well in advance of 2024 Opening Day against the Rockies at Wrigley, April 1, which is just 132 days from now.
