Cub Tracks ‘conventionally’

Typically acerbic #Cubs, #MLB, and #MiLB news and notes, links and discussion, plus scientific food for thought. The Cubs’ front office is keeping their seats warm and their eyes on the prize.

Welcome to today’s episode of Cub Tracks news and notes™, a greatest-hits collection of Chicago-style beat writers and bloggers, ground from #Cubs, #MiLB, and #MLB baseball, overheated, steeped in writers’ tears, and then cold-brewed overnight for maximum flavor. Dave’s probably here. Thanks for coming.

I’ve been sitting here getting wired on the live feeds from the Cubs Convention and hoping things turn out. The Cubs still have personnel needs and regardless of how warm and fuzzy CubsCon is, that truth remains.

I loved Jed Hoyer’s comment about a signing deadline and must concur, especially as I recommended that course a couple of weeks ago. Boog’s purple pants made me expect him to start going green any time.
