Jake Fox a future all star?

Here's an interesting article on ESPN.com that makes the argument that Fox could be an all star one day. It's a shame that our outfield and our corners are locked up with contracts for awhile that are going to limit his playing time, but I agree that Fox is the real deal.

Bronson Arroyo's honesty is ... ?

8

I'm very curious what people think about Bronson Arroyo's comments in the above article. I'm not even really sure how to paraphrase it down. Basically, he takes over-the-counter supplements that aren't approved and how fans are too focused on the records and not focusing on the health aspects. That's not the best way to summarize, but it's an intriguing read. I think the honesty is refreshing in some respects, but that he took it a bit far with the commentary on fast food places and so forth. That said, I'm sure there are still a lot of players looking to try and find a way to find an edge. At the very least, Arroyo is honest about it, so I'll give him credit for that. Now, he sort of holds the view that "Other things are bad and accepted, so who cares", which is not something I would, uh, support. Not trying to get the steroid convo going again ... just thought it was a fascinating read.
